Is $299 the full price for this visit?

Yes. $299 is what the visit costs. Anything beyond it is quoted before it starts.

How does it actually work?

A facial is a sequence rather than a single device: the skin is cleansed, softened, exfoliated, cleared of whatever is blocking it, and then fed and protected. Each step is chosen for the skin in front of us rather than run to a script.

The reason it is worth having on a rhythm rather than once is that skin turns over continuously, so what a facial clears and rebalances builds back up again over the following weeks.

What actually happens at the appointment?

We look at your skin and ask what it does at home and what you are using on it, then tailor the steps to that rather than running the same routine on everyone.

It is done lying down and most of it is comfortable enough that people fall asleep. Extractions, if your skin needs them, are the part you actually feel.

Is it suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?

Usually, because the strength of every step is a choice rather than a fixed recipe. Tell us at the start if your skin reacts easily and we adjust the exfoliation and the actives to suit it.

Will I be red afterwards, and can I wear makeup?

Some pinkness is normal, particularly after extractions, and it usually settles quickly. We will tell you what we used, and when makeup, active skincare and sun exposure are sensible again, before you leave.

Will it clear my breakouts in one visit?

It will leave your skin cleaner and calmer, and congestion that was already forming under the surface can still come up in the days afterwards as the skin clears itself.

Genuine acne is a course of treatment rather than a single facial, and if that is what we are looking at we will tell you plainly instead of selling you facials.
